An Interview with HU Inventory/Customer Care Intern, Ann Davis
How are you doing today?
Great. I just started my last semester of college…ever, and it is a good feeling!
How did you first hear about HALF UNITED?
My friends turned me onto the company during my first year of college. They had all gotten a bullet necklace and told me about how it gives back to kids in need. I loved the uniqueness of the necklaces, and was even more delighted to discover that the company gives back, so of course I had to get one for myself J
What is your role here and what are you most excited to learn during your internship at HU?
I am an Inventory and Customer Care Intern and perform an array of activities, but am mainly responsible for delivering exceptional customer service through phone, e-mail, social media, and in-person, and assist in the assembly and packaging of our products. As a business student, I am eager to learn about the entire business process at HU, but am most excited to witness and possibly be a part of the company’s marketing strategies and techniques.
If you could become one animal, what would it be?
A kangaroo, so I can live in Australia again.
Why are you inspired to fight global hunger?
I feel like so many people are so obsessed with money, and it’s refreshing to work for a company that’s main focus is to give back and improve the lives of others. I’ve been blessed with a great life, and I feel really guilty sometimes when I’m reminded of less fortunate people like these kids. I’m so excited about the opportunity to work with Half United and give back!
And lastly, what is the secret to life? (this can be silly or serious if you so choose)
To make a difference in the life’s of others. It sounds cliché, but it’s true. People are going to remember you for how you made them feel. You should do things for others for no reason, and not brag about it. It may or may not change their lives, but it will change yours for sure.
